Alan ClarkAlan has trained in martial arts since a very early age, previously training in Judo and Tae Kwon Do. He found Krav Maga 8 years ago and has been passionate about it ever since. He has been teaching Krav Maga for over 5 years now after successfully completing the IKMF Certified Instructors Course (CIC) in Scotland in 2010.

Alan is an avid fitness enthusiast and regularly sets himself seemingly impossible challenges. In the last few years alone, he has completed 1000 burpees in one night, ran up the Dumyat hills in Clackmannanshire while holding a 24kg kettlebell in each hand (on a rainy day!) and has snatched a 48kg kettlebell.

He is also Scotlands youngest Expert Level Krav Maga Instructor, having passed the Expert Level 1 test in Israel in June 2015 aged just 26 years old.

He regularly supplements his Krav Maga training with kickboxing training and has competed twice, winning both fights.

Alan’s knowledge of Krav Maga, fitness and self defence in general is second to none and this can be seen in the quality of his teaching at his Tactical Defence classes.

In his spare time, Alan practices photography, film making and film editing. He can regularly be seen in class taking epic action shots of the Tactical Defence members.

Alan lives in Tullibody and regularly teaches at the Tactical Defence classes in Falkirk and Stirling.
